1. During the last few years, the industrialization in the State of H.P. has made significant progress. Today, we have about 38291 (37817 Small Scale and 474 Medium & Large Scale) Industrial Units with an investment of about Rs. 14109.29 crores and employment of about 2.60 lakh persons registered with the Deptt. of Industries. 2. Approval of new Industries:-

After the notification of Special Package in January 2003, the Department has approved 1033 new investment proposals and 157 expansion proposals in Medium & Large Scale Sector and 14104 new investment proposals and 259 expansion proposals in SSI sector up to 30/11/2011 with combined envisaged investment of Rs. 46829.28 crores and employment potential of 515854 persons. 3. State Level Single Window Clearance & Monitoring Authority:-

With a view to ensure expeditious clearances from the respective Departments for setting up of new industrial units, a State Level Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister has been constituted to clear projects and ensure speedy approval from various Departments or Agencies. The Authority has so far held 56 meetings and cleared 891 projects with an investment of Rs. 29476.02 crores and employment potential to about 181882 persons. 4. No of units set up after the notification of Special Package:-

After the notification of Special Package in January 2003, out of total projects approved including expansion proposals, 8129 new industrial units and 218 implementation of expansion in SSI sector and 278 new units and 76 implementation of expansion in Medium and Large Scale sector have been set up in the State with an actual total investment of about Rs. 11501.03 crores generating employment to 105811 persons. 5. Industrial Areas/Estates:-

Development of industrial infrastructure has been one of the priorities of the State Govt. In order to provide infrastructural facilities to the entrepreneurs, 41 Industrial Areas and 15 Industrial Estates have been developed in the State.

1. Rates for the allotment of plots in the industrial Areas/Estate of the Industries Department for the year 2011-12

The Committee constituted under Rule 6.2 of revised rules regarding Grant of Incentives, Concessions and Facilities to Industrial Units in H.P.-2004 has determined the premium of plots in respect of Industrial Areas/Estates of the Industries Department for the year 2011-12 as under. The following rates shall be applicable with immediate effect :-
